Sica Consultants represents Benefit Partners LLC in acquisition by Alliant Resources Group, Inc.

Sica Consultants, Inc., a financial services and consulting firm, today announced its successful representation of Benefit Partners LLC, of Bethesda, Maryland in its acquisition by Alliant Resources Group, Inc., of Stamford, Connecticut. Benefit Partners will become part of Alliant's benefit subsidiary, Colonial Healthcare, Inc., headquartered in Lanham, Maryland.

Sica Consultants was founded in 1991 by Alexander W. Sica. It is a nationally recognized leader in providing advisory services in creating, developing and managing growth opportunities related to the financial services industries. Sica Consultants works closely with their clients throughout the Merger & Acquisition and Strategic Alliance process; from finding compatible partners, to determining proper business valuations and deal structures, to examining tax issues and continuing on through due diligence, deal closing and integration.

Founded in 2000 by Mark Sager, Joseph DiPietro and Richard Hecker, Benefit Partners focuses on providing individual and group life, disability and health products and services in the Maryland, D.C., Virginia and Pennsylvania area. Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Benefit Partners had revenues of approximately $4 million for 2003.
